Hi Everyone! I hope you're all doing well and are excited for the upcoming holiday! We sure are! We have to be in our apartment by 7 pm, so our day will pretty much end at 6, because of dinner. We'll get to study all night! It's going to be a lot of fun! We usually don't get study time on Sunday, so it will be nice!
We got a call from Sister Macdonald last night and she had to cancel going with us to the Delphian School today, but we rescheduled for next Monday and she will be coming up then. We also get to have a teaching opportunity with President Macdonald on Wednesday and then on Wednesday night, we got permission to drive down to Eugene (Santa Clara) to stay the night with the sisters there. We have a combined Zone Conference on Thursday and it just worked out better for us to go down early. Plus, we get to stay with Sister Glasgow! We also got permission to go see some of our recent converts down there. Angel will be getting everyone in the 4th ward to come to her house, so I get to see them all! I'm excited! It will be a lot of fun!
So, Shydon and Sammy came to church yesterday! Yay!!! The first talk in Sacrament Meeting was a woman telling her conversion story. Some of her concerns were the same as Shydon's concerns, so it was perfect for her!!! Oh, and Shydon agreed to be baptized on November 6th!!!! The lady also talked about the temple a little and Shydon said, "Now I just need to know what temple is." We explained it to her and she said, "I want to go to temple! That sounds cool!" It was awesome! In Sunday School, we talked about the 12 Tribes of Israel and I got a little nervous, because that can be a hard subject for anyone to understand let alone someone who's not very familiar with the basics of the gospel. But Shydon blew us out of the water as she answered questions (correctly) and got really excited about the subject! When we finished, she said that she really liked the lesson! Sammy had a really great time in Young Women's too. She set some VERY awesome goals for herself to be more virtuous! She's excited to come back next week! Overall yesterday was a very good day!
We taught A LOT of Less-Active members this week, so we're going to change our focus a little bit this next week and tract A LOT, so we can find good, solid new investigators. It's been raining here a lot too, but I LOVE it!!! Tracting in the rain is my favorite! Ha! That's only partly true!!!
Well, I love you all and hope to hear from you soon!
Love,
Sister Losee
