Hi Everyone!
Yes, I'm in Willamina. We actually live in Sheridan and we cover Sheridan, Willamina and Grand Ronde. The chapel we attend is in Willamina. We cover 1 ward which is really different from Springfield. We also don't really have any investigators right now, so we do a lot of finding. Sister Abbott is AWESOME!!!!! We get along so well! We have a lot of fun together! We're so far away from the Mission Office that we actually went out of our mission boundaries on Saturday, because we had a baptism in McMinnville. It's only about 15 minutes outside of Sheridan. The kid who got baptized is named JayDen. He is 9. His family are members, but they're not active. We're hoping that JayDen's example will keep them coming back to church.

We had some really fun experiences this week. We were out visiting some people and decided to talk to this lady by her house. When we walked up she said, "Just so you know, we're not religious, so we're really not interested. I don't like people to push religion on me." I said, "Well, that's okay, we don't come to push. And I really like your flowers." She started talking about her flowers and her plants then she asked if we were that religion that couldn't eat chocolate or drink caffeine. We laughed and told her no and then we explained the Word of Wisdom to her. After we explained the Word of Wisdom, she pulled out her cigarettes and asked if we cared if she smoked. We told her she could do what she wanted. She lit one cigarette and found it was broken, so she lit another, and it was broken, so another... this went on for about 4 cigarettes. The whole time I was thinking in my head, "hmmm... this is pretty ironic. Kinda funny, Heavenly Father." After the fourth cigarette, she looked at us and said, "This is your fault!" We all started laughing, but she didn't end up smoking! Ha! She asked us some more questions and we set up an appointment to see her tomorrow! It was pretty cool that she went from not interested to setting an appointment. Her name is Shydon.
Well, I better go, but I love you lots! Thank you for everything!

Love,
Sister Losee

P.S. We're only about 30 minutes from the Coast.
