Hey everyone!
This week has really been a pretty good week. We unfortunately weren't able to visit Isaiah and Elijah this week. The kids here got all of the week off from school, so they were playing with their friends a lot. The same thing happened with Alicia. A month or so ago we went to find a less-active on our ward list. We went to his house and met a woman named Virginia. She said she was the guys sister and that he didn't live there anymore. She said that she was a baptized member of the church too, but we didn't have her on our records. Well, this week we went back to visit her. She let us in her house and gave us hot chocolate. We visited with her and her 13 year old grandson, Jonathan. We asked him if he wanted to work towards getting baptized and he said he did, so we set up an appointment with him for Saturday. When we went back for our appointment, Jonathan, Virginia and Jonathan's sister Sasheene, was there. We talked about the Plan of Salvation with them and they loved it! We set a baptism date with them for December 18th! They both came to church yesterday too with their grandma Virginia. They're super sweet kids! I'm really excited to see them move forward!
We had a good Thanksgiving. We went the Bishop's house and helped them cook dinner, because his wife broke her foot and couldn't do it. They live on a farm, so we helped milk the goats too! Ha! It's the first time I've ever milked ANYTHING! It was so weird! I'll send pictures. We ate dinner with them and some recent converts who were Jehovah's Witness. It was really cool to spend their first holiday with them! They've never celebrated Thanksgiving before. I think they were a little overwhelmed! That evening we watched Toy Story 3, because we're allowed to watch one movie on Thanksgiving and two movies on Christmas. It was such a good movie! I laughed and I cried! Ha! It was fun! It felt a little weird to just sit and stare at the TV. I haven't done that for a long time!
We have a couple of invites for Christmas. We got invited to the Jager's house. They have 13 kids and each year, Santa comes at 6 am and all of the kids and both parents hide in the living room while Santa drops a bag of presents and tells the good about each person in the family! They have invited us to stay the night at their house, but we have to see if we can get permission to do that. We also got invited to the Johnson's house for breakfast. We're trying to figure out a way to do both. We both really want to go to the Jager's, but the Johnson's asked us first. We'll have to see I guess. Hopefully we can do it and not hurt feelings.
We don't really have any BIG plans for this next week, but I'm sure it will be a good one! I hope you all have a great week too! xoxo
Love,
Sister Losee
