Hey! So, this last week was crazy! It was full of good and full of opposition. We had zone conference last Wednesday. It was so cool!!!! Our mission president is so amazing! We learned a lot about how to find investigators and we received a lot of uplifting! It was so good!
We received a new investigator on Friday. Her name is Katie. She is GOLDEN!!!!! She hasn't really been brought up with any religion (she's 20 years old). She works with some members of our family ward and they started sharing the gospel with her. They gave her a Book of Mormon and she's read to Alma. She loves it! She says that she's always struggled with other religions, because they don't have answers to a lot of questions, but she's found answers from our religion and they make sense to her! She committed to be baptized, but we just haven't set a date yet. She lives with her boyfriend and we haven't brought up the Law of Chastity yet, so that will be the next stumbling block. But we're told if they're truly elect, they will make the changes they need to make.
We found out that we are training this transfer! A brand new sister right out of the MTC! Her name is Sister Kaufusi (Cow-Foosy) She is Tongan, but she's from Riverdale, Utah. How it's going to work is, Sister Cutler will train her while she's follow-up training me and then in three weeks, if a sister comes up from temple square, Sister Cutler will leave and I'll finish training Sister Kaufusi. Or, if a sister doesn't come, then Sister Cutler will stay until the transfer is over and then I'll follow-up train Sister Kaufusi. It's a big responsibility! I feel very inadequate and kind of like Sister Kaufusi and I will be training each other more than anything! But I know the Lord's hand is in my life and I know that this work cannot be stopped!
Well, we're going to the coast today and we have to go finish our laundry, so I better go. I love you very, very much. I'm learning very valuable things, although they're hard, they are very necessary. :) I'm being shaped and molded into the woman that Heavenly Father wants me to be and I appreciate it very much!
Love you very much,
Holly
