April 13, 20101

I'm so sorry! Things did not work out yesterday at all as far as emailing goes! I hope you get this before next week! We had so much fun at the Wild Animal Life Safari! I want to do our family reunion up here in a few years and go there! It is so so so fun! It's in Winston, Oregon, which is about an hour and 45 minutes South of Corvallis. They have animals from all over the world and they roam free as you drive around this park. The Carnivores are in separate cages from the rest of the animals, but it was so cool! I wanted to work there so bad!!!
We met with Leslie last week and she's not interested at all in learning about the church, so we're not going to go back for a while. We tried to meet with Carla, but ended up being 30 minutes late and she wasn't at her house. I think we'll try her again this week.
We've been able to meet with Staci. She told her mom about the church and her mom freaked out for about an hour. Staci just kept praying and her mom finally came out and told her that she figured there were worse things that she could be doing. Her mom doesn't want her to tell her dad until she's been baptized and her mom also wants to go to church with her 2 times before she'll feel comfortable with Staci being baptized. But, as always if Satan can't get you one way, he tries another approach. Staci now wants to wait for July to be baptized, because that's when her friend will be able to baptize her. It's definitely not a bad thing, but it gives Satan a little bit of room to get in and create havoc. We just keep praying for her. She's really strong, so maybe it will all work out just fine!
We met with Des today. She'll be baptized on the 25th still! She's doing great! She talked about watching "The Best Two Years" twice and how she really loved it!! She introduced her friend, Sarah, to us and we've taught Sarah twice now! She has a pretty Christian background and she seems to be really getting interested in the church.
I have been worried about Bethany, because she was not acting very interested at all and she wasn't progressing. She wouldn't really set regular appointments with us and she wouldn't really answer or ask questions. We finally got her introduced to a recent convert in our Singles ward and she has totally taken off in her progress!!!! She's doing so amazing! We have regular appointments set, she reads her scriptures and she even came to church on Sunday and liked it!!!! She's so cool!!!! She still doesn't feel that she's gotten an answer, but I feel like she's really seeking one now! And I know she'll get an answer!
We haven't talked to Brittany in a long time, but she's friends with Staci and Staci said she'd try to get her to come to lessons again.
So, last week I went on exchanges to Salem, Oregon! It was so fun! Salem is so pretty! There are tons of hills and the hills are COVERED in houses! It's the coolest thing! It is a huge city and it is the north border of our mission. It was way fun and I met some interesting people! I went there on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning I woke up sick. I thought it was food poisoning from some refried beans I'd eaten the night before. We made it back to Corvallis and I tried to push through being sick, but I just kept getting greener and greener. We went back to our apartment for lunch and I layed down for a nap. I was shaking and nausceous. Sister Cutler layed down too. After about an hour, Sister Toomey came in and said we needed to go. I was shaking and hurting from head to toe. Sister Cutler had started in with a stomach ache by that point too. So, Sister Toomey called a member and left Sister Cutler and I at home, sick. We realized once Sister Cutler started getting sick that it was not food poisoning! I never threw up, but Sister Cutler did! I felt so bad. We look back now and realize how comical it was, because we were two sick people taking care of each other. The Lord blessed us though, because I started feeling better before Sister Cutler threw up, so I was able to help her without getting sick myself. We were sick the whole day. By that night we were both going crazy with being cooped up in the apartment all day, but we were feeling a little better, so we were able to go out the next day.
I did get your letter thank you! It came on the day I was sick, so it was like a big hug right when I needed it! I also got Neely's letter :)!
Give everyone hugs and kisses from me! We are going to the coast next Monday, but not as early as we had to leave for The Safari and it won't take as long to visit the coast.
I love you all very very very much!
Love,
Sister Losee
