WOW! What a week! I think the UPS man was at our house everyday! Ha! Thank you all for the Christmas and Birthday packages and cards! They really made me feel your love! I really appreciate all that you all do for me! You're awesome!
We got a call from President Macdonald on the 23rd (my birthday). On our new phone, the vibrating is not very good at all, so I didn't hear the phone. By the time I checked it we had 2 missed calls with voice mails and 4 text messages. The calls were from President and Sister Macdonald and the texts were from our District Leader and President Macdonald. I called President back ASAP, but he didn't answer, so I called S. Macdonald back. She wished me a happy birthday and then said President had been trying to get a hold of us. She told him I was on the phone and he said, "Tell her I'm on a call and I'll call her right back, or you have permission to assign her to be a trainer." I was very happy! I get a new sister! I'm so excited! Her name is Sister Judd and she'll fly in tomorrow, but I know nothing else about her, not even where she's from. After I got off the phone with S. Macdonald I checked President's voicemail and he said, "Sisters, this is President Macdonald, I know it's early but could you please wake up and call me. It's 9:30 and I need to talk to you. Thanks! Love you!" Ha! Oh President's so funny! So, that's the BIG news for the week!
More BIG news is that Ray is getting baptized this Thursday, the 30th! We're really excited for him and he's excited too! We've been out of miles for the month, so we've been walking everywhere! Ha! We live in Sheridan and it's about 5 miles away from Willamina. On Thursday we felt like we should go to Willamina, but we couldn't find anyone to drive us, so we started walking. As we walked we'd knock on a few doors every once in a while. We found 2 new investigators that we wouldn't have found any other way. One's name is Lynn and she's really excited to meet with us, because her sister is a member down in Roseburg and has told her a little bit about the church. The other's name is Tim. He seems pretty interested. We talked to him about the gift that God has given to the world in the Restoration. It was pretty cool! We're going to meet with both of them on Wednesday. We're praying that they'll become solid investigators, because we're baptizing our only investigator in our teaching pool on Thursday! Well, not much else to report this week, just working to find more people and talking to everyone that will let us!
I love you all and hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
Love,S. Losee
