Hi everyone!
This week has been interesting!
We found out this week that Sister Hamilton is getting transferred to Medford. It's the furthest south sisters can go in our mission. It will be a very good thing, but it is hard to have change. I'm excited that she'll get to experience new things though and I get to grow again and learn to get along with someone else.
Pete got baptized on Saturday!!!!! It was so amazing! For the intermission, Sister Hamilton and I showed the talk by Elder Holland from the October 2009 General Conference. It was about the Book of Mormon. He is very bold in his speaking, but it went really well! After that, Pete's friend, Brother Ames, spoke about the Holy Ghost. Brother Ames has only been active in church for the last few months. He shed tears as he talked about how much of a blessing the Holy Ghost is. It was really amazing! Our ward mission leader, Charles Embleton, actually got to baptize Pete, which was pretty amazing! The whole experience was AWESOME!
This week, I've had a different feeling about my mission than I've ever had. I have an understanding on what I need to do more than I've had at any other time in my mission. I think the Lord may be preparing me to help the new sister learn the area. I like it! For the first time on my mission, I feel content. I want to use every single second to the best of my abilities! I like this feeling!
We've started learning some new curriculum that the church has sent out for missionaries. Part of the curriculum is learning to rely on the Spirit and ask inspired questions. It is THE MOST AMAZING experience to feel the Spirit put questions into your head that hit the person you're talking to right in the heart! I love it! I constantly seek to be able to ask those questions now! It's so amazing! I love feeling the Spirit so much! I don't ever want to do anything to lose that! I had a really great study this week about being obedient. I have such a love for obedience. I never feel that I'm being boxed in by rules, but I really enjoy the freedom I feel as I live those rules. I want to always feel as worthy of my temple recommend as I do as a missionary! I was talking to Elder Turner this week about this new curriculum we've gotten; he had a huge training on it this week with President Macdonald. He said that the curriculum was only supposed to be given to the leaders in the mission, but President felt that it was important to give it to all of us. He not only wants to help us be better missionaries, but to prepare us to be people! I love this mission so much! I can feel myself being prepared for life as well as the mission! I definitely know it's inspired that I'm here!
Well, I hope you all have a great week! I love you all!
Love,
Sister Losee
