Week 2 of transfer 10: April 4, 2011
Hey everyone!I forgot to give ya'll my address. I live at 928 Mendolia Way, Central Point, OR 97502, so you can send mail there! I hope you all enjoyed conference! I loved it! We watched it at the church. I just love conference. I loved all of the talks. I liked Elder Bednar's talk. I've been feeling lately like there is something wrong, because I don't have the same spiritual experiences that I had when I first came out. His talk helped me realize that I have just reached a different plane of my faith. It doesn't take the BIG spiritual experiences for me to see the Lord's hand anymore. It's the quiet, little ones that build the strong assurance of the truthfulness of the gospel. I also loved President Monson's talk about the temples. It made me so excited to be home for the Payson Temple to be built. I miss it all so much! Luckily, we get to go to the temple this transfer! I loved President Eyring's talk! He's becoming one of my favorites! Actually all of them are my favorites anymore! I loved the "To be or not to be" talk. I can't remember who gave it, but I really liked it! This week we have Mission President Training. I'm excited to see President again. It's getting near the end of his time here and I cherish every moment we have with him. I'm so grateful for the friendships I've built on my mission! I was talking to Sister Nelson today, who came out with me. When we first met, I did not like her. But we've become really good friends and we'll be going home at the same time. It's just amazing to me that I've known all these people for so short a time and I feel such an attachment to them. I have a stong testimony that it is the work of the Lord that seals us all together. I feel that, that is what makes the sealing power of the temple so strong; it's the act of all parties working together for the work of the Lord as well as the Savior's binding love through the Atonement. We found a really amazing woman this week through a referral. Her name is Renee. She took the lessons in Arizona and was going to get baptized, but went in for her interview and the district leader told her she had to back-pay all of her tithing. She said she couldn't do that and called off the baptism. It was all later worked out and the district leader was corrected, but by then she had lost the desire and was a little offended. We went to see her here and had a really great discussion with her. She is now taking the lessons! She's a super sweet lady! Things are going pretty well! I hope you all have a great week! Love, Sister Losee
