Hey Everyone!
HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!
This week, one of our investigators, Steve, got married! He needed to get married to be baptized, so we worked it all out and had a wedding at the church on Thursday. It was really fun! Kind of crazy, because their family is a little different, but it was fun!
We had an amazing experience this week. Our investigator, Brandy, had decided that she wasn't going to make her baptism date on the 11th. We were really sad, but didn't argue it with her. I knew she would get baptized, I just didn't know when. We decided to take her on a chapel tour on Thursday and tell her the stories behind all of the pictures. We did the tour and then we were just standing around talking. Brandy said the closing prayer and we just started talking. She told us that she'd been having a lot of anxiety and depression lately. She said she just wanted to feel at peace and calm. We then told her that she would feel that once she was baptized. She looked at us and said, "I think you're right. I've actually been thinking about that lately. I think I just need to do it! I just need to get baptized!" I looked at her and was completely ecstatic! I said "How about the 10th?" She said, "Alright!" So, Brandy is getting baptized on the 10th along with Jill! Yay!
Speaking of Jill, she has made such a change! She's always been a pretty outspoken, rough kind of girl, but we can see the Spirit refining her so much! It's so awesome! I love her so much!
I love it here and I love the people with all of my heart! I was sitting in church at Oakridge yesterday, and an awesome feeling of gratitude came over me. I realized just how grateful I am to be here right now and to have met all of these people! I can't imagine my life without them!
Well, I'm out of time, because we're sharing computers today, but I love you very, very much! Thank you for all that you do!
Have a GREAT week!
Love,
Sister Losee
