Hey Everyone!
Things are going pretty well here. Nothing too big is going on. We have 5 baptisms next week, which I guess is pretty big! The people getting baptized on Tuesday, is the Ames family; a mother and her two sons. They've been investigating the church for some time now and have decided that they want to be baptized. On Saturday, we have Angel and Oriana (a mother and daughter) getting baptized! They are so cool! I just love them lots! They're really excited to be making this big step!
We're going to the mall with one of the members in our ward today. We're also planning to go to the coast in a few weeks again with Sister Kaufusi and her companion and then the other sisters in this area. I'm really excited to see how Sister Kaufusi is doing! I miss her lots!
It's been pretty rainy here this week. We received more rain in May than we've received for 50 years, and in the first 2 days of June we already passed the average for the whole month. It has been raining like crazy! Luckily today it's sunny!
Sister Hamilton and I taught a workshop at our District Meeting this week. It was on Praying with Faith, which is something that I've been able to learn about this week through personal experience! Heavenly Father is so cool that he teaches us something and then allows us to teach others through our experiences! President Macdonald showed up and surprised us. It was really good to have him there! The meeting was one of the best District Meetings I've been to! We have an awesome district! Half of us were in the MTC together, which is kind of fun! Our district leader is Elder Turner and he's companions with Elder Fowles who was in my MTC district. They are awesome elders and really help to keep us motivated!
I LOVE BEIN' A MISSIONARY!!!! haha! Sorry I just had to say that! It's such a rollar coaster ride; this missionary stuff! But I love it so much! I love Oregon and I love the people here! They are so awesome! The spirit is so strong! I love it!
I've been trying to focus on studying as much as I can. I've begun to study The Book of Mormon, The Old Testiment, The New Testiment, The Doctrine and Covenants, Preach My Gospel, Jesus the Christ, and the conference Ensign. I've also tried to study throughout the day, instead of just in the morning. I've found that it helps me so much! I feel more confident because I have the spirit with me more and I feel more happiness, even when things get discouraging. Heavenly Father is so kind to us! I love this work so much!
